Introduction

NIT Pakistan Gateway Exchange Traded Fund (NIT PGETF) is an open-ended scheme that is traded on Pakistan Stock Exchange and aims to track the authorized index constituted by the Management Company - the NIT Pakistan Gateway index which comprises of the basket of equity securities, in order to provide long-term capital appreciation and dividends yield to the investors. NIT-PGETF Similar to mutual funds units, owns the underlying assets and offers investors a proportionate share in a pooled investment vehicle with units that can be bought or sold on the Stock Exchange at a market-determined price..

Objective

NIT Pakistan Gateway Exchange Traded Fund (NIT PGETF) is Pakistan’s First Exchange Traded Fund listed on PSX. The objective of the fund is to track the NIT Pakistan Gateway Index (NIT-PGI) which comprises of the largest companies by market capitalization forming part of KSE-100 index such that the aggregate weight of these stocks is at least 50% of the total free float market capitalization of the KSE-100 index.
