Mr. Adnan Afridi

Mr. Adnan Afridi has been appointed by the Government of Pakistan as the Managing Director of NITL.

Mr. Afridi has 24 years’ international experience in Change Management, business transformation, innovation and profitability enhancement in blue chip companies, public sector and start-up situations. He has led a distinguished career in financial services and capital markets including serving as Managing Director of the Karachi Stock Exchange, CEO, Overseas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI), Chairman of National Clearing Corporation of Pakistan (NCCPL) and Board of Directors of Central Depository Company (CDC). Mr. Afridi has also served on multiple listed company boards including Silk Bank Limited and Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited. Currently, Mr. Afridi is a Member of the SECP Policy Board.

Mr. Afridi has a degree in Economics (A.B, Magna Cum Laude, 1992) from Harvard University and a degree in Corporate Law (JD, Magna Cum Laude in 1995) from Harvard Law School.

Mr. Afridi is an active supporter of charitable organizations. He has served as the President of the Old Grammarians Society & Trust and is currently Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Kidney Center. He is also a Member of YPO Pakistan since 2008.

Mr. Iqbal Adamjee

Mr. Iqbal Adamjee is representing Adamjee Foundation on the Board of NIT. Mr. Adamjee has acquired graduation degree from Stanford University, USA. He has been associated with various business concerns of the Adamjee Family which includes Adamjee Insurance, Adamjee Jute Mills and Automative Batteries. Mr. Adamjee is at present Director Mainetti (Pvt) Limited and serving as Trustee of Adamjee Foundation & Trustee of Child Life Foundation. From the aforementioned platforms he has immensely contributed towards betterment of education and health sectors.

Mr. Jamal Nasim

Mr. Jamal Nasim, Managing Director, Industrial Development Bank of Pakistan, has more than 33 years of professional experience with NDFC and IDBP, which includes Commercial Banking, Project Management, Operations, Treasury , Risk Management, Internal Audit and Compliance etc. He also has a substantial experience of serving on the Boards of Directors of different companies in Textile, Sugar and Food sectors. He has also held the position of Executive Director, Equity Participation Fund. He holds a Masters degree, in Business Administration, from Asian Institute of Management, Manila – Philippines.

Mr. Muhtashim Ahmad Ashai

Muhtashim Ashai has been working in the Corporate and Investment Banking arena for more than 23 years. He graduated with a BS degree from UET and completed his MBA from LUMS, followed by the International Management Program at MC Gill University in Montreal. At present he holds the position of Senior Executive Vice President and Group Head Corporate Finance and International Banking at MCB Limited. He has worked in the area of Corporate Relationship Management, Corporate Finance, Equity Placements, Treasury Management and Loan Portfolio Management. He started his career in a local investment bank and then joined a foreign commercial bank before moving to MCB Bank Limited in January 2008. He has worked in Pakistan, Singapore, Japan and China.

Mr. Amir Mohyuddin

Mr. Amir Mohyuddin is a carrier Civil Servant of Government of Pakistan presently posted as Joint Secretary (External Finance Policy) in Finance Division looking after Pakistan’s External Financing needs and is also a focal person of the ministry in collaboration with the World Bank, IFC as well as financial relations with the different countries at bilateral levels. He has also served as Commercial Counselor at Pakistan High commission Kenya looking after Pakistan’s Commercial Interests in the East African Region. He has also served as Deputy Secretary to the Prime Minister of Pakistan during his carrier.

Mr. Amir Mohyuddin is a Graduate of London School of Economics in the field of Environment and Development. He has attended various International Trainings/Courses which includes training in “Development Policies” at International Development Center of Japan Tokyo and Foreign direct Investment promotion from Singapore.

He has represented Pakistan at various International Forums including United Nations Environment General Assembly I and II in Nairobi, UNISDR General Assembly in Geneva and Pakistan Russia Inter-Governmental Commission in Moscow. Mr. Amir is also currently Chairman of SAARC Development Fund (SDF) Thimphu, Bhutan and Alternate Director at ECO Trade and Development Bank, Istanbul, Turkey.

Mr. Khalid Mohsin Shaikh

Mr. Khalid Mohsin Shaikh is representing Habib Bank Limited on the Board of National Investment Trust Limited and is at present Head Structured Credits & Remedial Assets - Habib Bank Limited. Mr. Shaikh has over 35 years of professional work experience in the area of Risk Management and Corporate Banking at key positions with various local and foreign banks. He has also been associated with Experts Advisory Cell, Ministry of Productions, Government of Pakistan with Economic Appraisal Wing.

Mr. Shaikh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic / Finance from University of  Wisconsin, USA and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Edward Kardelji University and International Centre for Public Enterprises, Slovenia. He has also attended various national and international trainings and seminars during his career.

Mian Nusrat-ud-Din

Mian Nusrat-ud-Din is representing Tajammal Foundation on the Board of NITL. He is the Chairman, Chenab Group, which is engaged in integrated manufacturing and export of Textile goods as well as in Agricultural products. Mian Nusrat-ud-Din is a graduate in Chemical Engineering and also holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Technology. He has over 40 years management experience of Textile Spinning Mill and Chemical Plants. Also, he has vast experience as a member executive committee of Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry and various Trusts.

Mr. Ahmad Aqeel

Mr. Ahmad Aqeel is a seasoned entrepreneur and business professional with over 15 years of experience mainly in Oil & Gas, Power, Financial, Automobile Sectors & Petroleum Industry. He has been serving as a Director on the Board of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) for a significant number of years. He is the Chairman of Risk Management Committee & a member of the key Committees of the Board.

Mr. Aqeel is serving as a Director on the Board of National Investment Trust Limited (NITL) & is a member of Audit & HR Committees of NITL. Currently he is also serving as an independent Director on the Board of Nishat Power Limited (NPL), where he is also the Chairman of Audit & HR Committees.

Mr. Aqeel is credited with setting up & managing retail business with Total Parco Pakistan Limited and CNG retail sector for a long period of time. In the past he was associated with the business of construction, high value building solutions & real estate.

Mr. Aqeel is a Ravian, a Law Graduate from Pakistan College of Law of the University of Punjab and a Certified Director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG). He has been attending local and international workshops and seminars and is also a member of Lahore Gymkhana.

Mr. Saeed Iqbal

Mr. Saeed Iqbal is Group Head Institutional and Investment Banking - United Bank Limited. Saeed has over 23 years of experience with respect to wholesale banking, project & structured finance, debt capital markets as well as M&A and private and listed equity. Prior to joining UBL, he was the Head of Structured Finance at ANZ Investment Bank, Pakistan where he was responsible for originating, structuring and executing projects in the energy, telecom, oil & gas, infrastructure and ports sectors, amongst others. At UBL he leadsboth the Institutional and Investment Banking business streams. As Head of Institutional Banking, Saeed oversees UBL’s entire domestic public sector asset portfolio of over US$ 1 Billion. Simultaneously, he leads UBL’s investment banking business with a multi-award winning team of professionals operating in both Pakistan and the GCC offering a full suite of investment banking services encompassing loan syndications, fixed income issuance and distribution, project and structured finance as well as principal equity investments, private placements and M&A. He isalso a member of UBL’s ALCO and Investment Committees, a Trustee of the company’s employee funds and represents the institution as a director on the boards of a number of companies in which UBL has an interest. Saeed has a BSc. (Econ) Honors degree from the London School of Economics and an MA Development Economics from the University of Sussex.

Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Mangnejo

Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Mangnejo is an officer of Pakistan Administrative Service. He joined Civil Services in 1996. Prior to present posting in Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited, he has held the position of Home Secretary, Secretary Social Welfare, Secretary Implementation, Special Secretary Finance and Managing Director Public Procurement Regulatory Authority in the Government of Sindh. He has served the Federal Government as Director General EOBI and Director Finance, Trading Corporation of Pakistan. He has also served on the boards of PRIMACO and Sahara Insurance (subsidiaries of EOBI).

Mr. Mangnejo has a Masters degree in Management from London School of Economics, UK and a Masters degree in Economics. He also has a degree in Law and Civil Engineering. He has attended different local and international professional training courses, workshops and conferences.

Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Mangnejo has experience in Public Administration, Financial Management, Public Procurement, Criminal Administration, Human Resource Management etc.

Mr. Tariq Jamali

Mr. Tariq Jamali is Acting President National Bank of Pakistan. He is a professional banker with 30 years of experience in business procurement, promoting bank’s product line, client service, credit management, risk analysis, etc.

Mr. Tariq Jamali holds MBA Degree from University of Dallas, USA and BS (Civil Engineering) from University of Texas at Arlington, USA. He has also completed DAIBP from Institute of Bankers Pakistan, Karachi

He joined NBP in 1987 and has held various Senior Management positions at Regional and Head Office levels. He was Zonal Head, Quetta Region, 1990 to 1994, Zonal Head Sibi, 1994 to 1995, Chief Manager, corporate Branch Quetta, 1995 to 1998 and GM Credit /MSW Quetta, 1998 to 1999. He has also served as Group Chief of Logistics Support Group, Commercial and Retail Banking Group and Compliance Group. Before taking the position of Acting President, he was serving as Group Chief, Asset & Recovery Group.
